Goodbye Pensacola- Hello Home Sweet Home!

September 9, 2012
Our last morning waking up to this...
Although we were sad to go, we had a fantastic trip. It was great to spend time with family, especially. We enjoyed many, many hours of sand and water fun, lots of yummy seafood, and lots of relaxation. We are so thankful to Grandmama and Grandad for taking us on vacation with them and helping us with the kiddos some so that we could have a little time off to enjoy being on vacation! This is the only part I don't like about vacations- leaving. Well, that and the unpacking once you get home.
We took a few pictures of the kids before we left:
Caleb found a rainbow on the patio just as it was time to go!
Until next time...

Day Eight- More Beach Fun Awaits!

September 8, 2012
Our last full day at the beach!!! It was sort of bittersweet to wake up this morning and know that it was our last day to play at the beach. We wanted to make the most out of our day, so we ate a quick breakfast and got ready to go down to the beach pretty quickly. Grandmama and Grandad graciously stayed upstairs with Kailyn while she took a morning nap and joined us at the beach a little later. Mommy and Daddy were thankful to have some time with Caleb and enjoyed playing in the sand with him. Mommy and Uncle Josh got to talking and the next thing we knew, we were in a full out competition to build sand creatures! Uncle Josh out did Mommy big time by building a huge shark. Mommy's fish was cute too though :) After playing at the beach for a while, we headed to the pool to swim for a little while. We decided to head back inside and clean out the fridge for lunch. The kids took great naps and soon we were all dressed and ready for dinner. We tried a new place this year- Hemingways. It was just ok. Mommy and Daddy ordered nut encrusted fish and it was too basic and bland. Josh and Jessica both loved their entrees, so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. The restaurant was right on the bay, the views were breathtaking, so after dinner we walked the beach back there and took a few pictures. Remeber a few nights ago when the guys took the kids on the Ferris Wheel? Well they so thoughtfully bought 2 sets of tickets so we could take the kids again. Yes- the Mommy and is terrified of heights- thanks, guys. After much debate, I decided to go ahead and go since the seats were enclosed and we could all ride together. It is a good thing Caleb was on there with me, if he wasn't, I would have lost it. I hated it!!! On the way back to the condo, it started sprinkling, so we were afraid our last night of crab hunting would be cancelled, but it stopped- yay. Caleb and Addison enjoyed their last night of hunting crabs. They even sang Fresh Beat Band songs by the fountain on the way back inside...I will include the video at the end. It is dark, but too cute not to share :) We all headed to bed sad that the next night we would be home and back to reality. Vacations are great, but they always go by too quickly!!!
