Happy Halloween 2013

October 31, 2013
This year, Halloween fell on a Thursday, which is a school day for the kids. Kailyn had a nasty cough (croup), so I had to keep her home with me. Caleb happily went to school carrying goody bags full of treats for his friends! It was fun to run a few errands and then hang out at home with just Kailyn for the day. We had to pack their bags to go to Grandmama and Gradaddy's house after naps that day. Daddy would be having a Vasectomy the next morning so they offered to keep the kids for us over the weekend so Daddy could rest, study, and heal. Our original plan was to meet up with them on Friday morning but since it was Halloween we decided it would be fun to go ahead to Guntersville and trick or treat with Grandmama and Grandaddy- plus they have a golf cart to ride around the neighborhood in! Gran Gran also met up with us there and went on our trick or treating adventure with us! We hoped and prayed all day that it would not rain...the chances were like 70%. Thankfully it just misted a little bit on and off and we were able to trick or treat! The kids had a blast. And after a few houses, Kailyn started saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" it was precious. She actually buddied up with Grandaddy and took his hand, dragging him up to most of the houses with her, ha! Caleb was Jake from the Neverland Pirates show on Disney and Kailyn was Izzy. And yes, Caleb insisted that Mommy and Daddy dress like pirates too...you only have little ones for so long so we figured why not?! On the show, their pirate ship's name is Bucky so we even started calling the golf cart Bucky. Pirates Ahoy!!!
Mini photo shoot before school. Kailyn was just excited to be outside and did not want to take pictures. I finally got a few descent ones!
After nap time, the kids came downstairs and had lots of goodies waiting on them! What can I say? I just love holidays and such.
TRICK OR TREAT?!!!

Fall has Arrived!!

October 30, 2013
We have been having some awesome fall weather here the past few weeks. Last Wednesday was one of those days. It was not too hot and not too cold, so we headed to the Botanical Gardens to play. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the fall foliage and got some pictures of the kiddos. Unfortunately, this was the same day we found out Kailyn had Croup (after naptime) so she wasn't the best photography subject. Bless Caleb's little heart, he tried so hard to get her to take a picture with him...I think he could sense my frustration! I got several good individuals but I reallllly wanted a good picture of them together. Oh well! I forsee another gardens adventure in our near future.... I heard that all of their pansies are planted now! :)
P.S. Did you notice the picture of Kailyn's new look? She is all about some facial expressions right now! Haha!!
