When planning Kailyn's 1st Birthday party, I knew I wanted to keep it simple and do something small at home, just like we did for Caleb. I was so excited to be able to finally throw a girly party, so I still had to come up with something fun and frilly. I came up with the idea of pretty and pink, so that's just what I did! My friend, Kacie, had lent me a few of her daughter's party items (which I was SO thankful for) so I took those and went from there. I think it turned out pretty cute. We served lunch of sandwiches, wraps, pasta salad, spinach dip, potato wedges, and pizza bites. Then we had a cute dessert table set up in the living room. We kept it low key by inviting only family and close friends...if you know our house, the downstairs is small so not the best entertainment space!

It was a great party! Everyone seemed to have a great time, especially the kids. Let's justs say they really enjoyed playing with our toys, ha!! Caleb was probably the leader in this mess if I had my guess. But they had FUN and I am so glad...not to mention they stayed upstairs for a majority of the time which was nice. Kailyn was either tired or her ears or teeth started to bother her. She didn't really get into opening presents that much so I had to end up opening them up for her. She sure has enjoyed playing with all of her new items since then though. Then when it was time for cake, she kind of lost it. Maybe it was just the tutu that freaked her out a little bit, who knows. But we had to force her to put her hand in the cake. We did end up with a few good pictures...
Hey, yall! My friend, Ashley has designed some amazing bathing suits for baby girls. They are genious because she puts snaps in the crotch to enable a quick diaper change or potty break while at the beach or pool. No more wrestling that icky wet bathing suit up and down!! Her bathing suits are made with top quailty fabrics that even have spf 50 in them- another plus! Not to mention that all of their products are from the U.S. They have 2 different swim suit designs and a cozy cover up, all in 3 different fabric choices. You can also add the monogramming package to your order.
Bella Bare Wear has just launched it's 2013 line for preorder through a fun site called Kickstarter. Basically they are looking to fund their goal amount of $13,500 so they can pick up a manufacturer to make their swimsuits. They are offering a preorder at discounted rates through this project. If enough people pledge to buy, the project will be funded and your pledge will go through. If they don't meet their goal, it is at no loss to you and you are not charged. Easy as pie!

Ashley wrote a great explanation here: If you do not know what Kickstarter is, you can read below for more information!
What is Kickstarter and how does it work with Bella Bare Wear?
• A website that people launch new products on to help fund production or their idea.
• Bella Bare Wear is pre selling their 2013 line on Kickstarter so they can fund production.
• If the goal amount is reached in sales, everyone’s card will be charged at the end of the project (February 28) and your suit will be made. If not you will not be charged.
NO RISK TO YOU!
• The line is discounted from retail price ($40-$50) to $30 and up. Larger packages have bigger savings!
About the line and how to order:
• Every suit has three snaps!
• The materials are the highest quality and made in America, the suits are produced in California!
• Sizes range from 6m-4T
• Choose your package on the right based on how many items from the collection you would like. As long as we are funded, we will send out a survey on the 28th asking what style and size you want.
• You will not be charged until we are funded on the 28th of February!

Last Monday was unseasonably warm outside...so we took advantage of it and headed to the Botanical Gardens for lunch and play time. Grandmama went with us to lunch (major fail on my part to not have pictures of this!) but she had to leave afterwards to go to ta doctor appointment. So the kids and I parked the stroller in the Children's Garden and played. Kailyn was hillarious..so excited to be set free outside. She explored while Caleb and I enjoyed chasing after her! I took a few pictures but not too many because that little miss had me on my toes....
And we ended our fun afternoon with a Jeep ride before naps!
