It's Almost Easter

April 17, 2014
We had a few pre-Easter events the week leading up to the big holiday. We started off our Easter celebrations with Easter parties at school. Both kids' classes had egg hunts and special lunches. All of their friends sent lots of goodies home with them too. I tried my best to get a picture of them before school, but as usual, we were doing it last minute so I had to take what I could get!
Later on that afternoon, it was our night to host our small group. Daddy wanted to have a mini egg hunt for the kids. It was simple and quick, but I think the kids had a good time! It was a game night for the grown ups since we were in between studies. We played the Newlywed Game and it was SO fun, definitely a repeat for us.

The next day, Friday, our friends in our small group hosted a huge egg hunt with all of our best friends from Church plus some. There were sooo many kids and sooo many eggs! The kids had a lot of fun. I think Caleb enjoyed playing with all of his buddies the most, he got upset when it was time for everyone to go. After 3 egg hunts, the kids were officially warmed up and ready for the real Easter Egg hunt on Sunday...
*FYI: If you can't find Kailyn in the group picture, it is because she was glued to my leg! There is something about our playdate group pictures that she just hates. Oh well..

Spring Time Photos

April 13, 2014
The weekend of my Birthday, I told Jeremy the only other thing I could wish for would be some good spring pictures of the kids. The next thing I knew, we had a picnic packed and we headed to the gardens to eat and take pictures! And believe it or not, we got a few good ones!!! I just wish we had another person there to get a few family shots. Hopefully soon we can work on that.
We also got lots of silly shots, ha!

Zoo Day for Mommy's Birthday (and more)

April 11, 2014
To celebrate Mommy's Birthday, we headed to Birmingham last week to visit the Zoo and Cheesecake Factory. Daddy is always so sweet to take a day off work for Mommy's Birthday. The weather was kind of yucky all week so we decided to push our outing back to Friday when we could enjoy some sunshine too. It was the perfect day for visiting the Zoo. The only drawback was that lots of other people thought so too. Several school groups were there, which made it extra crowded. We still had a great time, but we did not get to ride the train, which is Caleb's favorite part. We actually timed it just right to where we had late snacks while exploring the Zoo and then when we were done it was time for a late-ish lunch at my favorite- Cheesecake Factory! After lunch we went by some nearby outlets for some (very) quick shopping before Kailyn was too exhausted to go on. We headed back home after that and she slept almost the whole way home.
Once we returned home from the Zoo, Daddy loaded the kids up in his car and headed to Guntersville for the remainder of the weekend. His last "gift" to Mommy was a (semi) weekend alone. Although I just cleaned, organized, etc. around the house, it was nice to do it in some peace and quiet without interruption. That Saturday night I had tickets to the Cinderella Ballet for Gran Gran's Birthday gift from all of us. So she treated me to Sho Gun before the ballet for my Birthday dinner. Our Bday's are back to back :) We had a fun girl's night out!! Sunday morning Jeremy and the kids returned home just in time to head to Church for baby Maxwell's Baptism. It was such an honor to be there. We are so glad Stephanie, Jamie, and Max have joined our small group!
