Caleb was so excited for his school's Christmas program! When it came to the week of the program, his teachers took the class to the stage to practice and Caleb learned that when all of the kids get together and sing, it is really really loud!! Remember: Caleb does not like loud noises. Yep, uh oh! So on the morning of the program, this is what we see turining the corner....
That's my boy! He came prepared for the loud singers with his hands over his ears. *sigh* But he walked right up to the stage and stood like this for the entire first song. Thank goodness the next song did not require a tamborine, so the children were asked to sit them down. When he sat his tamborine down, he did not cover his ears back up and started singing a little. Yay!
After his class sang 3 songs, they sat to the side of the stage while the younger classes took their turn. Caleb had fun sitting right in between Addison and Owen.
Once the program was over, the children were dismissed back to their classrooms where we would go and pick them up. Caleb enjoyed walking out with his teacher, Mrs. Cindy.
After we picked Caleb up from his class, he showed us one of the two trees in the lobby and even pointed out the ornament he made.
We enjoyed watching Caleb and his friends singing about Christmas and Jesus's Birthday, they did an amazing job! We were also grateful that Grandad took time out of his busy day to come and watch Caleb perform.

Want a quick laugh? Here are a few pictures we took, attempting to get a good family photo for our Christmas cards. Didn't go quite as planned. Ha!! These definitely captured our little circus in our true form.
Merry CHRISTmas!!!!

It is Christmas Eve and the kids are snuggled up in their beds! We have had a very busy last few days visiting lots of family and getting very spoiled. I am not sure why Santa is still bringing presents after all of the grandparents going overboard, but oh well! We are glad to be home tonight and anxiously awaiting a fun filled morning of presents and celebrating Jesus' Birthday!!!
We went to Church for the Christmas Eve service this afternoon then headed to Applebee's for dinner. Then we hurried home to prepare for Santa's visit tonight.
Caleb was so excited to sprinkle the reindeer food we made in the yard!Gotta feed those reindeer, they work so hard pulling that sleigh all night.
Then we came inside and made Santa a snack plate.
Sissy wanted to help too!
But really she just wanted to sample Santa's snack, haha!! :)
Santa enjoyed the snack...
And left lots of goodies!
Santa has come and gone at the Gilmore house tonight! Good night and I hope Santa is good to you!! We are excited to see the kiddos enjoy Christmas morning but also excited to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ tomorrow. Caleb even requested that we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus as his good night song tonight. That's what it is all about :)
Not only do we have a late monthly post again this month, but I have done even better and do not have the 10 month picture with her sign!! Booo...someone needs to be fired!
Kailyn is definitely not an infant any longer and is quickly turning closer to the toddler stage. She is crawling everywhere and pulling up to stand. She loves playing with toys now, especially Caleb's! Her schedule is still holding about the same, still taking two 2hr naps each day. Kailyn started sleeping through the night, but then all of the sudden started waking up again...she had an ear infection! Once we got her recovered from that, she has been sleeping through the night almost every night now. Kailyn is mostly on table foods now, with a preference to self feed finger foods- she loves to eat what we are eating and will watch our plates and grunt until we let her try whatever it is we are eating. Those two little teeth seem to be plenty for her. I just love watching her grow and see her little personality coming out. She is the sweetest, happiest baby. But she still manages to let her little diva side come out sometimes! Mommy and Daddy love you SO much, sweet Kailyn!!!

A few weeks ago, we had our 2nd meeting with Santa at the Earlyworks Museum. We have had supper with Santa two years in a row now, I guess it is becoming a tradition with our family! Each year they hold a fundraiser called Dinner with Santa. They always sell out very quickly, so we were excited that we were able to get tickets again this year! They have lots of round tables decorated for Christmas and have crafts waiting on the kids at the tables when they arrive. They serve pizza, fruit, and salad and have elves helping out around the room. Santa comes around and visits each table throughout the dinner. It moves pretty quickly though...or at least it did for us because both Caleb and Kailyn were not excited to see him.
Caleb was so excited to attend this event, but as soon as Santa walked up to the table, Kailyn started screaming- not crying, but screaming!! I think Caleb fed off of that and just locked down. He did not want Santa anywhere near him. So Santa snuck behind him and tried to let me get a picture, but Caleb spotted him too quickly. Oh well! Of course, since Kailyn was already so upset, we went ahead and threw her in his lap for a few pictures. It was a fun night, even if we had a few tears along the way. We did get some cute pictures while we were there, they have lots of little photo opportunities set up all around the room. Our tickets included passes to Santa's Village across the street (with the same Santa), but we decided to wait and come back another night, so stayed tuned!
