Our Visit with Santa

December 13, 2013
We finally made it to see Santa this year at Santa's Village! The weather lately has been super yucky with lots of rain and cold temperatures. When we saw a descent day in the forecast, we knew that was our Santa day. First we headed right for Santa's house since the line usually gets long. Caleb was a little nervous and wanted to take his list with him for Santa to read it instead of him telling him what he wants for Christmas. Santa was so great and patient with Caleb and he even explained to him that he needed it mailed to the North Pole.
And Kailyn....well bless her little heart! Daddy hid in the foyer with her while Caleb talked to Santa then once he was finishing up, he brought Kailyn in and she lost it. We only got a few quick shots- she was probably in his lap for a total of 30 seconds. And trust me, everyone in that room heard a high octave that they had never heard before. I gotta give it to her, the girl knows how to pitch a fit!! Once we left the room, she was completely fine and excited about all of the other activities.
After our Santa visit, we went to the kitchen area and decorated cookies...and all of the rest of the pictures have Kailyn eating her cookie! The kids enjoyed walking around and looking at all of the Christmas decorations. We even bumped into Frosty but both kids refused a picture with him. Caleb found an elf collecting letters and he promised to load it on the sleigh so Santa could look over his list again. We also had to stop by and visit the reindeer. Since Santa was traveling by himself and with no toys, he only needed 2 reindeer to carry his sleigh! Lastly, before we left, we got our traditional family picture in Santa's sleigh. What a fun night!

School Christmas Program

December 12, 2013
The kids had their school Christmas program last week and it was SO cute! It was extra special this year because 4 out of 5 of the grandparents were able to make it: Grandmama & Grandaddy, Gran Gran, and Pops. This was Pop's first visit to the kid's school and of course, his first school program. I think he liked it! Both kids did awesome on stage singing too!! I wish I knew how to download video clips onto the blog because they are adorable. I guess a few pictures will have to do:

Disney on Ice 2013

December 8, 2013
Last weekend, Mom and I took Caleb to see Disney on Ice. We decided that Kailyn was probably too small go sit through a long show so Daddy stayed home with her while she napped. The show was great! Each princess had a song or two which was really fun. I think Caleb's favorites were Aladin and Sleeping Beauty because they both had sword fights in them. Yep, all boy!! I enjoyed the show myself, you can't get much better than Disney classics and I love that they are still modern enough for our kids to fall in love with them. I also enjoyed taking pictures and video clips with our extra zoom lense for our camera. We don't get to use it much but when we do, it sure is awesome to have!
