We celebrated my Birthday earlier this month. Daddy actually had a training in New Orleans the week of my Birthday so the grandparents kept the kids and we enjoyed a fun week just us!! I picked my favorite restaurant in New Orleans, Red Fish, for my Birthday dinner. It was amazing. All 4 days of the trip were amazing. Lots of yummy food...we got to go to places that didn't have kids menus. Ha!! I relaxed, worked out, and shopped while Daddy was at his training. It was wonderful. A few days before we left, we celebrated my Birthday with the kids. Daddy brought home one of my favorites- a cookie cake!

*Flashback- January 2015
January was pretty low key. I started getting busy with a few different events at Church and planning Kailyn's Birthday party. Overall, we just stayed inside and played a lot since it was so cold.
Kailyn had her very first haircut! We waited almost 3 years...her hair just didn't grow, but it was finally getting stringy and wasn't curling in the back anymore, so I knew it was time. I was definitely a little sad because she looked so grown up afterward. But is so cute! She had watched Caleb get so many haircuts, she was actually excited to go and waited patiently for it to end so she could get a sucker.
We also spent a weekend in Guntersville for Grandmama's Birthday. The kids wanted to know what kind of party she was having...meaning what character. We let them pick- they chose Frozen, of course. It was a fun, low key weekend. The guys allowed us girls to get out and shop on Saturday while they kept the kids, which was really nice. It needs to be Grandmama's Birthday more often :)

Easter 2015
Our Easter festivities started with Caleb's class Easter party. I was one of the Mom's in charge of the class party and helped lead it. It was so fun to be with Caleb and his friends and be a part of his fun day at school. We took lunch then played some fun games afterward.
On Friday, we headed to Guntersville for the weekend. Saturday morning we went over to the park for the City's Easter Egg hunt. It was actually pretty cold and windy outside, but the kids had a lot of fun. They got some good little goodies too! Thankfully they had age groups separated, but we had to split up between our 2 kids areas so I didn't get any pictures of Caleb's hunt.
Saturday afternoon, Josh and family arrived for more fun. It turned out to be a pretty afternoon, so we headed out to the golf course to let the kids hit some balls. Caleb loves to play an entire hole from tee to putting! And he is actually really good...for a 5 year old.
Since mine and Josh's birthdays are soon after Easter, we usually celebrate our Bdays while we are all together for Easter. Jeremy's Mom got Josh an ice cream cake and me chocolate cupcakes- yum! When they asked what I wanted for my birthday dinner, I said a fish fry- so that's exactly what we had. Yes, they spoil me!! :)
After dinner and cake, it was time to dye eggs! The kids had a lot of fun seeing them turn different colors. We may have cracked a few! I think Addison was most excited because she loooves eating boiled eggs. Of course, neither of my picky children would even consider eating one. Ha!
Before bedtime, the kids had to set out their empty Easter baskets and the bunny's snack. Addison and Kailyn loved the "pretty carrots" and ended up eating some of the extra ones for a bedtime snack. They were so excited about Easter!
Easter morning was fun. The kids actually slept until about 6:30, which is a miracle! The grown ups were thankful. Of course, they couldn't wait to go upstairs and see what the Easter bunny had left. I think the kids get so spoiled every Easter and Christmas but it is fun. The Easter bunny leaves stuff in their baskets then Jeremy's parents get them a basket and Addison gets them a basket and we get her one. They are only going to be little and "believe" for so long! They had fun going through their treats and playing with them. Then we all parted ways and started getting ready for the real reason for Easter- Church and to celebrate Jesus!!
We tried to get a good family photo before heading to Church. Kailyn was mad because we fought over her hairbow. Ugh. Girl drama!!
We enjoyed the Easter service at Grandmama & Grandaddy's Church then headed to eat Mexican for lunch. The kids were a little squirmy at lunch because they were SO excited to hunt Easter eggs. Since Jeremy's parents don't have a big yard, we always go to his Grandmother's house to hunt eggs. The "Easter Bunny" always hides them over there! Kailyn tried her best to keep up with the big kids..thankfully she didn't realize how many more eggs they got than her. It was fun watching them hunt eggs this year because we could actually hide a lot of them vs just laying them out in the grass.
And lastly, we had to get some family pictures. Of course, by this point Kailyn was getting tired and Caleb had red bubble gum melted on his shirt!!
