Wow, this was only last week- trying to get better at keeping the blog up to date!! :)
One of our favorite Christmas traditions with the kids is to go downtown and eat Supper with Santa. Basically, there are lots of tables and each table has a place set for Santa. He actually doesn't eat but comes by each table and takes his time visiting with each and every child. It is the same Santa that we see across the street at Santa's Village so I like that we can go to Supper one night then come back a week or so later and do the real sitting in Santa's lap, etc. Supper with Santa is our warm up exercise for the big even, if you will.
This year our good friends from our small group joined us. We were so excited to share such a special night with Lilly Kay and Max. It was fun to see them with Santa too! I also enjoyed having someone with us to help with family photos. After the event, Jessica and I were texting back and forth and we realized we did not take a group picture. Boo! Maybe we will have a re-do next year! Kailyn kept saying, "Ho Ho Ho!" as she saw Santa from a distance, but as soon as it was time to sit with him, she started screaming and her entire face turned red. She didn't even want to sit beside him with Caleb. I guess this year is going to be another crying with Santa year! Enjoy our picture from Supper with Santa:
