June 8-10, 2012
We headed back to the River last weekend to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Daddy took off 1/2 day on Friday so that we could get there before dinner time. He flexed the hours out earlier in the week- we love that his job allows him to do that! When we got there Friday afternoon, Caleb asked about Pops on and off until he and Nana got there about an hour later. We took an evening boat ride before bath and bed time that night.
On Saturday the weather was awesome. It was a little cool in the morning, but it warmed up pretty quick once the sun came out. We enjoyed boating to the beach and playing before lunch time. All throughout the day, Caleb learned how to pee on a tree!! He thinks it is so fun now. After he would pee on the tree, he would run over to Mimi's and get a Hershey's Kiss instead of the regular treat he gets for going potty- an M&M. We cooked a yummy dinner on the grill, Alice Springs Chicken and then toasted marshmallows over the fire for dessert.
We woke up Sunday morning to a little drizzle and cooler temperatures. So after watching it sprinkle for a little while, Mommy and Daddy decided that we should just pack up and head on home since it wasn't going to be a good day to be out on the water. It was nice to get home a little earlier than normal and unpack and get the dirty laundry going before starting another week on Monday.
Kailyn took a good nap while everyone played at the beach!
Caleb was cold after swimming, so he wore his robe under his life jacket and looked hillarious :)
