Weekend with Kailyn
June 1-3, 2012
Last Friday night, we met Gran Gran at Bridgestreet to eat dinner at Conner's. Caleb was so excited and asked her if he could go to "Gran Gran's home." She laughed and said, "Of course!" So after dinner, we headed back home and packed Caleb's bags for the weekend. Then we were left with just one- little Kailyn. Saturday morning Mommy and Daddy took it easy, caught up on some DVR'ed shows, then got ready and went to the Botanical Gardens. Kailyn was just 2 days shy of turning 4 months old, so we thought it was a good opportunity to head over there to take pictures of her. We also enjoyed a nice lunch outside at Clementine's, so yummy!! After that, Daddy and Kailyn stayed at home and Mommy ran a few errands. The rest of Saturday night Mommy and Daddy enjoyed time with Kailyn, did a few chores around the house, and watched another tv show on the DVR before going to bed early. Sunday morning we all went to Church and it was Kailyn's first time to be dropped off in the nursery. She did great! It was hard for Mommy to leave her, but it had been getting tricky taking her to Sunday School class and trying not to be disruptive to everyone else. After church, Daddy dropped Mommy and Kailyn off at home and he headed to Guntersville to play golf with Grandad then picked Caleb up at Gran Gran's. It was a nice, slow, relaxing weekend. We did miss Mr. Caleb though, but it is always nice to get a break from watching Toy Story and playing cars and trains. He had a great time getting all kinds of special attention from Gran Gran. He even pee peed in the potty for her! She started him on Pull Ups, which actually seem to be helping us out with the potty training issue. He has not asked for another diaper since.
Here are the pictures we took of Kailyn on Saturday:
