Life with the Gilmore's: Happy Birthday, Grandad!

*May 4-5, 2012*

We traveled to Guntersville for another fun-filled weekend with Grandmama and Grandad. This trip was to celebrate Grandad's Birthday and also to wish Grandmama a Happy Mother's Day. Grandad had picked Caleb up from school on Thursday so that they could keep him that night and Friday while Mommy rested (very little) and got things packed. After Daddy got home from work, the rest of the Gilmore's headed to Guntersville.

We got there in time to take Caleb on a golf cart ride and let him play on the course a little!

After eating dinner at the mexican restaurant, we headed back to the house for Grandad's Birthday cake :) Mommy made the cake...it was a lot yummier than it looks. After being bounced around on the car ride, the middle oreo filling layer wanted to ooze out.

We all had a fairly lazy Saturday morning watching the kids play. Somehow we ended up on the back porch and they wanted to water the plants for Grandmama. Before we knew it, both Caleb and Addison were soaked, having a blast playing in the water.

Once we got the kids cleaned up, we decided to go to the park for lunch. We grabbed some crackers to feed the ducks and headed to McDonald's for a few Happy Meals! Both Caleb and Addison had a blast feeding the ducks (and geese). They all swarmed us and got a little too close, so we ended up putting them on one of the tables to finish feeding them.

After nap time, we headed to the pool for the first time of the summer! The Gunter's Landing pool usually opens Memorial Day weekend, but since it was such a warm spring, they opened it early- yay!!!
