Life with the Gilmore's: Kailyn Lindsey Gilmore- 3 Months

Yes, another month has passed! Kailyn is now 3 months old....1/4 of a year old!! We are loving life as a family of 4. Kailyn is such a blessing to our family. In the past month, we have learned her personality more and are getting better with her fussy times. Not to say we don't have a few rough days here and there, but it is getting better. When she is awake, she is so alert, looking around at everything, smiling, and even starting to gooo and gaa a little. So she gets tired pretty quickly. We have learned that she does not need to stay awake longer than 2 hours during the day and sometimes she doesn't even make it 2 hours. The trickiest thing with her right now is getting the 3rd evening nap in. If she does not get a small nap in, then she gets extremely overtired and fussy. But this little girl is a sleep fighter!! She has come to realize that you are putting her to sleep and if she is overtired, she fights it even harder. She also has a bad habbit of waking up when you lay her down...sometimes we lay her down 3 or so times before she will stay asleep.

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Kailyn has officially moved from Newborn size clothes to 0-3 month and even wearing a few 3 month outfits. She also moved into a size 2 diaper. Also, we are in the process of moving her from 4 ounces to 5 ounces each feeding. Right now we are just doing 5 at bedtime, middle of the night feeding, and first morning feeding since that seems to be her most hungry times. Kailyn has also started smiling at us a lot, she is a very happy baby (as long as her belly is full and she is well rested). She also likes to be played with and talked to. Mommy can play pat-a-cake with her and gets lots of toothless grins :) Kailyn has also started sitting in her Bumbo seat some and getting a lot stronger with holding her head up. We have also realized that she sleeps really well on her tummy, so at least one of her naps during the day she ends up on her tummy.

Her schedule:

Wake Up- 6am

Change diaper

Get dressed

Eat 5 ounces

Play Time- 7am

Morning Nap- 7:30 to 11am (still varies a lot)

Change Diaper

4 ounce bottle

Play Time- 12pm to 1pm

Afternoon Nap- 1pm to 3pm

Change Diaper
