Night Night

Grandmama and Grandad recently finished more of their half finished basement...if that makes any sense! Basically they had half of it as a huge storage room and they took a section of that to make a 3rd bedroom downstairs for the grandkids. There are now 2 double beds down there- one for Addison and one for Caleb. Since Kailyn is getting old enough to need her own space to sleep vs sleeping in the room with Mommy and Daddy, we decided that it was time that Caleb and Addison test out sleeping in their new room together and let Kailyn have the upstairs guest room that Caleb usually sleeps in. Addison has been sleeping in the new room for a few months now, but this was Caleb's first time. They were SO excited!! None of us were sure how it was going to go, if they would talk, go straight to sleep, cry- no idea! Well, we put them to bed and a few minutes later we heard a whisper. Then a giggle. Then....
Caleb: I need to go pee pee!
Addison: It’s okay, just go.
Caleb: In my Pull Up?!!
Addison: Yea, I already did.
Caleb: In your Pull Up?
Addison: Yea
Caleb: Okaaay
Addison said something to Caleb.
Caleb: Huh?
Addison: Don’t say “Huh” like that, okay?
Caleb: Huh?
Addison: No
Caleb: Huh
Addison: No
Caleb: Huh Huh Huh Huh!
Caleb: Want to sleep in my bed?
Addison: No, we have to go to sleep.
Now that is just the highlight reel of many things they said. They probably layed there and talked for at least 30 minutes before Addison said her tummy hurt and she needed to go potty. So we all decided it was time to intervene. We took them both potty, put fresh pull ups on, and tucked them back into bed. Caleb fell fast asleep and Addison soon after. The next night, they were so exhausted from a day on the lake that they went right to sleep too!
It is so fun to see these two grow up together. They truly are best friends and love each other so much.
