Vacation Bible School 2012

This year, our theme was "Sky" and it was so much fun! The halls and classrooms were full of clouds, planes, hot air balloons, butterflies, and lots of love for God. Mommy volunteered in the Preschool crafts where she taught 3, 4, and Kindergardeners. We did lots of fun crafts with them and really enjoyed working with the children. During break time, Mommy enjoyed walking by both kid's classrooms and spying on them. Mommy also enjoyed having a break from our dailyn routines for the week and getting to chat with other Mommy friends that she doesn't get to see near enough outside of Sunday School.

Caleb and Mommy wore matching shirts all week :)
This year was Caleb's 2nd year to attend VBS at our Church and he had a blast. Each morning he was very excited to pack his bag and put on his Sky Tshirt. His teachers kept him very busy playing toys, going to the playground, story and music time, eating snacks, making crafts, and going potty. I think VBS week was a big break through week for Caleb's potty training and he kept his teachers busy! He had to go try lots of times before he would actually go, but I think they would rather him do that than have accidents.
Caleb playing in his classroom, so glad Mommy thought to give the teachers our camera!
Kailyn was a rookie at VBS and did great in the nursery! Mommy was a little worried since she sometimes fights naps and can be tricky, but the nursery workers never had anything negative to say- so proud of my girl. They have the same type of cradle swing as she has at home, so that helped for naps. She enjoyed playing with her good friend, Juliet too!
Ashley is one of the members of our small group, she volunteered in the nursery so that she could be with her little girl, Juliet. Mommy was glad to have a good friend in there with Kailyn, especially since we see Ashley and her family once a week so she is a little familiar with Kailyn's personality.
We had such a great week, it was sad for it to come to an end. We are already looking forward to next year :) On the last day, we hung out in the lobby and let Caleb play in the hot air balloon they had set up for the kids. Then several of Caleb's friends showed up on their way out too!

On the way out, Caleb had to climb through his favorite tree at church!!
