Caleb's 4th Birthday Party!
August 24, 2013
After several weeks of asking Caleb what he wanted for his Birthday party, we finally realized we could not sway his vote- The Little Gym. Again. He had such a blast at his 3rd Birthday party that he wanted a party there again for his 4th. Who can argue? They make it so easy with everything to setting up to cleaning up! His party was right around the same time the new Monsters movie came out in theaters, so we thought it would be a fun theme for the party and it was! I had such a fun time with the few decorations we did and the party favors.
The party was such a hit! Caleb had a ton of friends show up to play with him on his special day. The kids enjoyed having free time to explore the gym, especially the jumper. (What is it with kids and jumpers?!!) And we had lots of fun visiting with everyone and seeing all of the kids having fun. After playtime we had cake and ice cream, along with grapes and Monsters crackers. Then all of Caleb’s friends spoiled him with lots of awesome gifts. Caleb did not want his party to be over but was excited to send each friend home with a Monsters cup filled with goodies.
After the party at the gym, we invited family to come back to our house for an “After Party” since it is hard for the grandparents and family to feel like they have that special Birthday time with him and so that they can enjoy him opening their gifts. We served chicken fingers for dinner with potato wedges, pasta salad, wraps, and fruit. And of course, lots of left over Birthday cake! Gran Gran got Caleb some awesome Monsters pajamas and a fun Mickey Mouse Find It game that we love. Pops and Nanna got Caleb a pair of Crocs that he has been wanting all summer- they are yellow and turn green when they are in the sunlight! And Grandmama and Grandaddy finished with the finale of a new bicycle. We also felt so loved that the Kirklands came all the way to Huntsville after watching Finlee cheer all morning and they even made it over for dinner and playtime- that is a best friend for you! And did I mention that it was also Kacie's Birthday? Happy Birthday, best friend!!! I feel so lucky to have such supportive friends and family that love us and want to be there for all of our special occasions.
