Happy 4th Birthday, Caleb!!

August 29, 2013
Caleb’s Birthday was on a school day- which Mommy contemplated for WEEKS whether to send him to school or to keep him out for a special day with Mommy. But we were heading to the beach the very next day, so Mommy really really needed the time to run errands and do a few last minute things at home!! So before school, we met Daddy at Cracker Barrel for a yummy breakfast. We very rarely eat out for breakfast, so this was a super special treat! After eating, we let Caleb pick out a surprise in the store area and he picked out a magnet set. Don’t feel too bad for him going to school on his Birthday- Mommy sent GiGi’s cupcakes for dessert after lunch for Caleb’s class. I heard they were pretty yummy.
After school, we kept with our normal routine and the kids took naps. After Caleb woke up, we let him open his Birthday gifts from us. He got: a new Innotab game (Jake and the Neverland Pirates), headphones, and 2 new DVDs. Once Kailyn woke up from her nap, we lit the candles and sang Happy Birthday to Caleb and had tiny pieces of his ice cream cake before heading out to dinner. We met Gran Gran at Bridgestreet to eat at Red Robin- Caleb’s choice. After we ate, they sang to Caleb and gave him an ice cream sundae. Now, Caleb chose Red Robin because they have the (junk) quarter machines to play in the front. It must have been his lucky day because Mommy won a stuffed Tiger!! Yay! He was SO excited. Unfortunately, we had promised Caleb he could ride the train at Bridgestreet but it wasn’t running…so he settled for a cookie from the Great American Cookie store and dancing around Bridgestreet before heading home. I would say he had a great day!!
