Mother's Day 2015
The week of Mother's Day, the kids had Mom and Me celebrations at school. Kailyn's was on Tuesday. Her teachers helped her make a very cute framed art project for me. Then before pick up, all of the Moms met in the treehouse and the kids sang with us. It was really sweet. Kailyn's class had just had playground time, so her cheeks were a little rosy!
Caleb's class did their Mom and Me on Thursday. They had the tables set up fancy for the Moms. Then we got to eat a snack and enjoy looking at our special treats- a candle vase with fingerprint decorations on it, a book, and a flower to wear. The kids even sang us a special song before it was time to leave. I enjoyed sitting in Caleb's room and seeing him interact with his friends the most! Very thankful for these 2 special days!
We ended up in Guntersville for Mother's Day weekend. Grandmama and Grandaddy's neighborhood was having a yard sale and with us selling the house, we decided it would be a good way to clear out some stuff. It turned out just ok, but we were glad to still get rid of stuff, make a little money, and then take the leftovers to Goodwill. We enjoyed the rest of Saturday swimming at the pool and then had a fish fry for Grandaddy's Birthday. Yum!
On Sunday morning, Daddy let me sleep in! Then he, Grandaddy, and Uncle Josh cooked the Moms a wonderful brunch. We had fruit and dip, strawberry stuffed French toast, quiche, egg sandwiches, and potatoes. It was SO good. We definitely felt pampered!
After brunch, we got a surprise phone call that the Johnson's were in town visiting Great Grandmother for Mother's Day. They came by to visit and to meet baby Tristan. It was a fun afternoon! We got to sit around and visit and the kids ran around playing.
