Spoiled at Great Grandmother's!
December 21, 2013
After spending the day with Gran Gran, after the kids woke up from their naps it was time to head just down the road to Great Grandmother's (Daddy's Grandmother) house. The Johnson's were there from Tuscaloosa and we were all excited to visit and catch up. All of the kids play so well together, which is so nice. Once again, we headed down to Top O the River for dinner...two nights in a row- you know Daddy was excited! :) Ha! It is just a good location and they are very well equipped to handle larger tables. It was a great decision because we were in and out of there in no time.
Once we got back to the house we got out all of the yummy desserts I had spent all week making: gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, milk and white chocolate pretzels, and spritz cookies. Kailyn enjoyed the gingerbread cookies! She is cursed with a sweet tooth like her Mommy!!
The kids were now officially sugared up, wound up, and excited to exchange gifts. Ella is always the lucky one when we do our Christmas together since her Birthday is just a few days into January, we always just give her 2 gifts at Christmas- one for Christmas and one for her Birthday. I think the was very surprised that her Aunt Pam (Grandmama to us) got her Kit, the American Girl doll she had been wanting while the rest of us followed up with lots of accessories!! It was so fun seeing her get her first doll, love it!
