After Caleb refused to play T-ball or Soccer this spring, we were crushed and defeated. We both got so excited that he could finally play sports and just assumed he would be on board. Wrong! So we took a step back and decided to wait until next year. We are hoping to take him to a few games to watch his friends play, that way he will be more familiar with the sports. I have always thought that we would encourage the kids to be in at least one activity all the time. While they are younger, it is great for their social skills, but once they are teenagers it will help to keep them out of trouble...hopefully. I just think it is so very important. So when a Groupon came up for 1/2 off 4 weeks of classes at Little Gym, I signed Caleb up. He loves having Birthday parties there so I hoped he would be game for a few classes. We decided on Karate just because we already had a commitment on the night of their sports class. Caleb was a little resistant but also excited. He went right in last Tuesday and had a blast!! He actually got a little upset when it was time to go because he wanted to stay. Success!!! I'm not sure what we will do when our 4 discounted weeks are over, but for now we are enjoying watching him have fun with Karate!
