Christmas with Dad and Lisa
We enjoyed our Christmas morning at home with the kids. We played and played and played with all of our new toys that morning. Once Kailyn got tired, we started rounding a few things up and doing a little last minute packing while also making sure Caleb was still enjoying playing with his Christmas stuff. After Kailyn woke up, we weren't sure if we should wait until the next nap when they are tired or go ahead and go so we could have more time wtih Dad and Lisa. Well, we decided to go ahead and go and packed lunchables for lunch. Jeremy though McD's would be open, but I knew they weren't...thus the lunchables! About halfway there (1.5hr drive) Kailyn got fussy so Mommy had to get in the back. Both kids were hungry, so out came the lunchables (as we had already driven by at least 3 closed McD's at this point). Let's just say that neither kid wanted what I had to eat. They were both pretty unbearable the rest of the ride. Once we got to Nana's house, we cooked grilled cheese sandwiches and got settled in a bit. Then we opened presents with everyone before putting Kailyn down for an afternoon nap. Caleb, on the other hand, was waaay too wound up and excited to play with Pops! We had a great visit with everyone- Pops, Nana, Unlce Blake, Bill, and Ciara. Lisa cooked some awesome Lasagna for dinner and we played toys all afternoon. It was a quick visit since they had other family to visit the next day, so we headed back home the next morning with another car load of toys for my spoiled children!!
I feel like I should take a bow or something...that was finally our last Christmas post!! I hope to do a 2012 year in review next, but it sounds like a lot of work!!!
