A Weekend with Gran Gran
September 15-17, 2012
Daddy's friend from High School, Joseph will be getting married later this month. Daddy and several buddies met up with Joseph in Nashville for a Bachelor weekend. Mommy was sad to be without Daddy for the entire weekend, but glad that he got to spend time and catch up with his friends. It is always nice to get a break from home too! Thankfully, Gran Gran has recovered from her tonsilectomy and is feeling great these days- yay!! She quickly agreed to come over and spend the weekend with us. Caleb was so excited.
On Friday afternoon, Mommy had been inivited to a baby shower with some girls from Sunday School class. Gran Gran was so sweet to keep the kids and put them to bed so Mommy could go and have a girl's night with her friends. It was lots of fun.
Saturday morning, Mommy had to rush off again to sit in line to drop off her items at Kids Market. She got number 96 this year (out of 300) to shop the early consignor sale. Aunt Kacie and Aunt Jessica both sat with Mommy in line and we ahd fun catching up. When Mommy came back home, we all got dressed and visited another consignment sale in Madison that was half off and then ate Mexican for lunch. By then it was way past naptime, so we headed back to put the kiddos down. After they both took naps, we went to Bridgestreet to eat dinner at Connor's and ride the carousel. Kailyn was not very happy at the restaurant and we had to leave rather quickly. But she did great once we were walking around. It was a fun day!
On Sunday, we decided to have a lazy morning and played toys at home, cleaned house a bit, and enjoyed the fall weather outside. After naps, we got ready and headed to Carabba's for dinner and it was so yummy- thanks for taking us out, Gran Gran! Then we went back to Bridgestreet and rode the carousel before coming home for baths and bedtime. Gran Gran headed home after the kids were down.
We were so thankful for her help and company all weekend. Daddy was missed though and we were excited to see him Monday afternoon when he got home from work.
