Guntersville...The Rest of the Story!
September 29-30, 2012
After we recouperated from camping, got showers, and settled in at Grandmama and Grandad's, it was time for the kiddos to take naps. Daddy and Grandad watched football and Mommy went downtown to shop for a bit. It was nice to shop by myself...sounds strange, but it is a rare occurance! After naptime, Josh, Jessica, and Addison came over. We slipped out to the golf course to take some fammily pictures really quick then Grandad cooked out on the grill and the kids played all afternoon. Luckily, it was a late game so we were able to get the kids down for bed before the game even started. But unfortunately, everyone was so tired, not one of us stayed up for the entire game! Of course, we knew Bama would win or else we would have stayed up. On Sunday, the guys played golf and the Mommies had the kids. We took them up to Cracker Barrel for breakfast then roamed around Wal-Mart afterwards. Yes, that is Mommy's least favorite store, but that was all that was open in Guntersville on a Sunday morning!! We then headed back to Gunter's Landing and took the golf cart out for a ride and played outside for a bit. The weather was amazing and the temperatures were just right. The kids had to take an "on time" nap that day because after naps we were headed to Will's 2nd Birthday party. Mommy and Eleanor (Will's Mom) have been friends since High School and are enjoying having little boys around the same age. His party was fun, even though the rain kept us from jumping in the inflatable. After the party, we headed back home and got ready to start another fun filled week. Weekends away are fun, but so exhausting for the Mommy who has to pack, unpack, and get the kids back on schedule the next day!!!!
ROLL TIDE!!! :)
Caleb enjoyed fishing with Grandad in one of the ponds.
And Kailyn got to watch Daddy golf.
Then we enjoyed playing on the golf course a little before dinner.
I know they will kill me for this one day, but it was so stinkin' cute!! This was the first time for all 3 cousins to take a bath together.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Will!! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you.
