Going to the Show...
September 22, 2012
A few weeks ago, Gran Gran kept Kailyn for the weekend and we got to spend some special time with just Caleb. Mommy and Daddy were so excited to get quaility time with our boy! Saturday morning, we woke up and got ready, go Kailyn packed up, and Gran Gran arrived to pick up Sissy right before we headed out to the civic center to go to a show. Several months ago, Mommy preordered tickets to Disney on Ice and got some great seats. The show consisted of Cars, Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell, and Toy Story 3. It was great!! The music was really loud, which Caleb did not appreciate. He actually covered his ears for the first half of the show. During intermission, Mommy told him a little lie (Don't judge!!), I told him that the man down there said that the sound was fixed and he did not need to cover his ears. Worked like a charm! He was so excited to see Woody and all of the characters from Toy Story too. He still talks about watching Woody and Buzz dance on skates! I know he won't remember things like this forever, but I will. It was a special time for us. After that, there was a fall craft show in one of the other halls of the civic center, so we took a quick walk through that. Caleb found a wooden toy fishing pole and that was his surprise for the day. Mommy found a few hairbows for Kailyn, but that was about it. Daddy likes that kind of shopping...where we don't find much :) It was already too late to head home for a nap, so we decided to let Caleb skip for the day. We headed to Bridgestreet to walk, shop, eat, and ride the carousel before finally heading back home for a good night's rest. Sunday morning we headed to Church then Mommy picked up Kailyn in Guntersville during nap time. It was a great weekend!!
